Angela VanZandt
Chapter Founder & President

Angela has loved film since she was a small child and comes from a long line of storytellers. Some of her best memories are of sitting around the dinner table and listening to the tales there. Today she has over 20 years experience in the Film Industry as a distributor, screenwriter, and producer. 

Angela is President and owner of VanZandt Films LLC. She has written 12 feature scripts & currently has multiple feature projects in development, as well as a tv pilot she hopes to bring to her home state of Arkansas. 

As a screenwriter and producer for the State of Arkansas, Angela produced several films and wrote many textbooks for iBooks. Angela is also active in working in the Copyright Alliance in Washington, D.C. and with Congress to protect the Intellectual Property rights of all creators.

During her time with a leading American movie distributor representing the major movie studios, she worked with major movie studios and celebrities learning the business from the top.   Angela was their top salesperson in the USA and earned five national sales awards in one year and was the first to earn the Sustaining Resource Award. 

Angela first joined Women In Film Atlanta and later saw the need to bring the global organization to Arkansas.  Now, she is Founder and President of Women In Film Arkansas. Her goal is to grow the film business in Arkansas while promoting women filmmakers with a strong focus on mentoring and networking and to make as many films as possible to help preserve the state's Southern heritage. 

Angela holds a degree in Art from the University of Arkansas and a Master's degree in Education from the same school. 

 Angela is a former employee of Tiffany & Co,  New York City. 

Kimberly Skyrme
Chapter Vice President

Kimberly Skyrme is a Casting Director - Producer - Writer - Director. She recently completed directing Ward 8, a "Proof of Concept" piece for a series in development, the Regional Casting Director for STARZ Original Series The Girlfriend Experience. Additional Series include The Domesticators and Wayward Girls. Bennie's, starring 7 Time Emmy award-winning actor Ed Asner, Oscar Nominated Actress Cathy Moriarty with Joe Esteves and Tonye Patano is currently being shopped to Networks.

Kimberly's casting collaborations include: the Emmy Award-winning Netflix original series House of Cards - Seasons 1-3, Unsolved Mysteries; Deep Impact; Hearts in Atlantis; Beloved; The Pelican Brief; True Lies; numerous Independent Feature and Short Film Projects and more. In addition to Directing, Producing and Casting, Ward 8, The Domesticators and Wayward Girls, Kimberly is also Producing and Casting The Hive, a psychological thriller by Writer/Director Paul Lingas and One Lucky Moon, a Musical Comedy by Director/Writer Peter Bogdanovich in addition to Developing her own projects.

Kimberly's professional memberships include the Casting Society of America, New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT), Women in Film & Video (WIFV-DC), as well as The Immediate Past Chair of Women in Film & Television International (WIFTI). Additionally, she is a founding member of Television, Internet & Video Association (TIVA-DC) and The Peer Awards. She is on NYWIFT's Women's Film Preservation Committee. Her philanthropic work includes Chesapeake Film Festival, Advisory Board Chair of Arts Education in Maryland Schools Alliance (AEMS0, New York Junior League and Junior League of Washington DC as well as Advisory Board Member at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Washington, D.C.

Kim Rainey Pease
Vice President & Director Of Northwest Arkansas

Kim Pease is a Nationally Awarded Talent Placement Agent, Development Coach, Casting Director & Professional Make-Up Artist with a passion for the Entertainment Industry. Through her company, FIA Worldwide Entertainment Agency, Kim has cast, crewed, & assisted in hundreds of local and national productions, and has placed thousands of actors in film and video productions in Arkansas.  

Talent & alumni of her program have been in Emmy and Grammy Award Winning projects and in blockbuster films with the likes of Quentin Tarantino, Shailene Woodley, Naomi Watts, Jessica Biel, Tom Hiddleston and more. More have been represented in National Television Commercials and you can spot her talent on Network Television most any week on popular television shows including The Walking Dead, Nashville, This Is Us, and Black-ish. 

She began her career in the Entertainment Industry over 30-years ago as a Professional Make-Up Artist. Kim's first projects include Steel Magnolias with Julia Roberts, Sally Field, and Dolly Parton and Blaze with Paul Newman. She has continued to work with many other Academy Award and Grammy-winning Artists. Most recently, Kim worked on outtakes of the MTV Music Awards and was a Featured Make Up Artist and Guest Judge for an America's Top Model Event. Recently, she launched her own industry-friendly cosmetics line, Gobsmack'd Cosmetics.

Kim is also the CEO of Arkansas Movie Maker Organization & Director/ Talent Scout for AGM Talent Productions. She continues to bring opportunities and industry professionals into the area to scout for talent and film locations, as well as, to educate aspiring actors. Her ultimate goal is to continue to bring legitimate opportunities to our community, nurture the growth of the industry with relevant information and training, and facilitate bringing the dream or vision of the filmmaker, actor, model, etc to fruition, be it on national or local platforms.

Melissa Moody
Co-Secretary; Programs & Events

 Melissa Moody, founder, and owner of Excel Academy for film & television has over 14 years of experience as a model and actor. She also has over 30 additional years as a trainer and manager in the entertainment industry. 

Summer Moody
Co-Secretary; Programs & Events

Summer Moody is an  Acting coach and Special Event’s Director has trained nationally and helped connect hundreds of actors to agents around the globe. Summer is currently working with Feature Film Director, Tom Logan, with the Director’s Guild of America, on her first screenplay.    

Angela Harris

 Angela Lashelle Harris, 48 is a native of Arkansas.  She has been married for 25 years, one daughter and 3 grand boys. She has a degree in Accounting and Christian Counseling.  She owned her own tax services for 5 years. 

Angela is an ordained Minster, Businesswoman, and Servant.  In 2009, She received a spiritual revelation to write a script that would address serious community issues. In 2010, Out DA Box Film & Music Production LLC was created.  Out DA Box will be releasing her first film in Oct 2019. Currently, the record label has 2 artists to debut in August 2018. An Artist Manager was just hired because the company is growing rapidly.  She just began Out DA Box Publishing.  Her publishing company offers the following services: Full Publication, Editing, & Project Design.   

Angela and her husband, Maurice Harris, owns a full service moving company called Your Humble Servants Moving Company where they employ 5 employees. 

Angela's passion is to help others, especially women, achieve their goals. This is where Women of Empowerment Intl was birth in 2005. Currently, the organization is opening chapters nationwide. Angela is the host of the Women of Empowerment Radio Talk Show, which can be heard every Thursday @ 2 pm CST on 100.9fm, 1530am and by thousands on the internet.
